Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 2025

Mushroom March stores only your high score in your browser's localStorage. We have deliberately built the game with no server-side user state — there is no database of players, no session tracking, and no way for us to associate a score with a person.

1. About Mushroom March

Mushroom March is a free, browser-based woodland fantasy arcade game. This Privacy Policy explains what data is involved when you visit and play, and what your rights are in relation to that data.

2. What we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum necessary:

We do not request or collect your name, email address, date of birth, location data, payment details, or any other personal identifier.

Because the game loads all assets on first visit, subsequent plays work even without an internet connection on most browsers. Offline play means zero data exchange with our servers.

3. Cookies and browser storage

We do not place cookies in your browser. We use localStorage only to persist your high score between visits on the same device. You may clear this at any time through your browser's privacy or settings menu.

4. How we use data

Server log data is used solely to:

Log data is never used to profile users, target advertising, or inform any commercial decision-making.

5. Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent, licence, or otherwise transfer any data — including aggregated or anonymised data — to advertisers, analytics companies, data brokers, or any other third party. We share data only when strictly required by law or to protect the integrity of our infrastructure from attack.

6. Third-party content

All assets used by Mushroom March — code, fonts, images, and scripts — are served from our own infrastructure. No third-party service receives any signal from your visit to the game.

7. Children's privacy

Mushroom March is a family-friendly game designed for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal data is collected from any user, the game is appropriate for players of all ages without special consent requirements.

8. Your rights

Your game data lives entirely in your own browser — you hold full control over it and can delete it at any time via browser settings. We hold no personal data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or erase on our end.

9. Security

Because no personal data is stored on our servers, a server-side security incident would not expose your personal information. Your localStorage data benefits from your browser's built-in sandboxing and security model.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects when the current version took effect. Continued use of Mushroom March after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the revised version. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11. Contact

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, please use the contact form on our website. We will respond as promptly as possible.
